Our Approach
What is DFX Pilates? Simply put, we are Pilates “purists”. Our STOTT PILATES® certified instructors have been extensively trained in anatomy, rehabilitation, modern exercise principles and the full spectrum of classic exercises pioneered by the late Joseph H. Pilates. By maintaining extremely high standards, we provide our Sacramento Pilates clients with all that the STOTT PILATES® method has to offer and the specialized attention they need to meet their individual goals.
Our Methodology
The STOTT PILATES® method is a contemporary approach to the original exercise method pioneered by the late Joseph H. Pilates. The STOTT PILATES® method incorporates modern exercise principles, and applies proven and accepted practices in biomechanics, rehabilitation and athletic performance enhancement.
STOTT PILATES® exercises are designed to restore the natural curves of the spine and rebalance the muscles around the joints. This involves placing more emphasis on pelvic and scapular stabilization, and integration of all the parts of the body into one.
In order to make Pilates accessible to all, we utilize a wide range of preparatory exercises and modifications to customize the Pilates technique for different body types and abilities.
Our History
DFX Pilates was founded in 2011 by David Freker, STOTT PILATES Lead Instructor Trainer.
