The Functional Anatomy (FA) course is available to students at any point in the program. It has no prerequisites and can even be taken before beginning the intensives. It is available to any fitness, yoga or movement professionals. While not required for certification, the course provides beneficial background allowing students to deepen their understanding of the STOTT PILATES repertoire and sets the stage for the Injuries and Special Populations course.
The Injuries and Special Populations (ISP) course is available exclusively to students in the STOTT PILATES program. Students must take either the Intensive Mat Plus (IMP) or the Intensive Reformer (IR) course prior to taking the ISP course.

Optimization of the Shoulder Complex

This lecture/demo workshop first explores the biomechanics of a healthy, optimally functioning shoulder girdle. We then explore a series of mat and small props based exercises designed to optimize the function off the shoulder girdle. We will start with optimizing the thoracic and cervical spines and then muscles of the shoulder.
